Kilusang Mayo Uno-SMR | Davao City - Workers from Packing Plant 90 of Sumifru Phils. Inc. in Compostela, Compostela Valley  picket in front of Sumifru Phils office at Buhisan, Brgy. Tibungco, Davao City this morning to protest the unfair labor practice committed by the company.

 
The workers under the Nagkahiusang Mamumuo sa Suyapa Farm-Packing Plant 90-National Federation of Labor Unions-Kilusang Mayo Uno (NAMASUFA-NAFLU-KMU) hit the company for its refusal to face them in the negotiating table for the proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement by the union.

Business tycoon and Eton Properties Philippines Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Lucio Tan failed to attend the first preliminary investigation of criminal charges filed against him and five other officials of subcontractors of Eton Construction at the Makati prosecutor’s office, Tuesday, June 21. Charges of non-payment of minimum wage and employment of a minor in hazardous occupation were filed separately by relatives of four of the eleven victims of the Eton accident February this year.
