Moros Launched Training to Document their Struggle for the Right to Self-determination
After being postponed last December 2008 due to the break-out of hostilities in the Moro areas between the government soldiers and the members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the documentation training for the the members of human rights organizations in the Moro area pushed through. This was held in the Moro people training center in the communities of Cotabato City last March 12-17. Among the highlights of the training was the intense discussion among the Molo leaders and HR advocates on the rights to self determination which is the core issue of the Mindanao problem. Participants who numbered to as many as 40 because some of them have to travel from Basilan and the remotest part of Maguindanao.
